Hi readers,

Sorry for not updating for so long. I changed the theme so it looks more mysterious and clear. I hope you like it.

Ava Gardner Dolls

•January 18, 2010 • Leave a Comment

It seems to me that Ava Gardner is one actress whose look is so unique that it’s so hard for doll makers to catch her expressions and transfer them into their Ava dolls. Take a look at those:

I don't find this look very much Ava-ish

this one is better though there's something very brittle about it

this one is better still there's something very brittle about it

and this one I can't tell is Ava if not being told

However, I’m quite pleased with the new Ava Gardner paper doll made by Gregg Nystrom. I think it looks stunning and does resemble Ava in one way. This doll has 4 pages of clothes from various Ava Gardner’s films and all the gowns he made look wonderful.

You can check out Gregg’s website to view other dolls. He made many stunning classic actress paper dolls, including Liz Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, Jean Harlow, Gina Lollobrigida, Dolores del Rio,…and many other. Marlene Dietrich and Greta Garbo paper dolls are on his must draw list.
